What We Do

IPCOM services focus on primary care problems in the context of serious mental illness including:

  • Health screenings and physical examinations
  • Urgent care for acute medical problems
  • Chronic disease management
  • Health promotion and education, adapted to the risk profile of the mentally ill
  • Staff education and consultation to promote health in aggregate living

Health Promotion Areas include:

  • Health issues groups in short-stay houses
  • Sleep hygiene
  • Nutrition
  • Psychiatric symptom management
  • Preventing substance abuse relapse
  • Focus on self-care activities & basics of good health
